Gravity thickeners

Gravity thickeners are used reduce the volume of sludge. Gravity thickeners are dimensioned and constructed according the requirements with respect to the dry matter concentration and the dimensions of the settling basin. We design gravity thickeners with direct flanged axel as well as ones with two motors and ball-bearing connections.

Spiral scrapers

In a round clarifier basin, the following types of scrapers can be used: bottom scraper, suction scraper with a vacuum pump, or suction scraper with a submersible pump. The scraper bridge has a truss construction and dimensioned according to the dimensions of the basin.

Longitudinal scrapers and sand trap scrapers

These scrapers are normally used for sand traps and preliminary clarifier basins. Like for the spiral scrapers, either scraper plates or suction scrapers can be installed by Kettenbach-rostfrei. They are operated either by conventional means (wheels and rollers) or by one of three alternatives for nonslip drive.

Sand separator

A sand separator is used to separate sand from the sand/water mixture in the sand trap. Depending on the requirements, we produce separators with 35 - 70 m³/h capacity.

Aeration systems

Various types of diffusers can be used for aeration basins or aerated sand traps. Kettenbach-rostfrei has developed several systems in cooperation with well-known diffuser manufacturers. Removable systems have special requirements with respect to buoyancy and current stability.

Suction systems for clarified and turbid water

It is important that it is possible to remove these components from the water when necessary. This can be done automatically using floats or by hand with a winch or screw hoist. A special swivel joint has been developed for situations that cannot be directly accessed.

Overflow channels and weirs

Channels/troughs are either round or polygon-shaped. Weirs and flotation baffles are dimensioned according to DIN 19558. The troughs are dimensioned according to the hydraulic specifications. Especially the buoyancy of submerged troughs is to be considered.

Hoists

Hoists with rigid or adjustable extensions are produced. The mounting base can be either vertical or horizontal.

Cleaning systems for scraper bridge tracks

A rotating brush (optionally with a container for deicing fluids) is normally installed to clean the scraper bridge tracks of spiral scrapers in the winter. It is controlled either manually or by a thermostat.

Cleaning systems for channels/troughs

Cleaning systems with motor-driven brushes are produced for overflow channels. The inner walls of the channels/troughs can be cleaned by manually adjusting the unit A torsion control unit automatically regulates the pressure against the channel/trough walls.
